Molloy University’s Fourth Annual Communication Sciences and Disorders Convention:
The Science of Reading and Family Support Practices

The Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Department and the Office of Continuing Education at Molloy University are pleased to offer our fourth one day CSD convention.  

The 2025 convention will offer two options to attend: in-person and virtual through Zoom.

This intermediate level program will provide attendees up to 0.6 ASHA CEUs in the area of speech-language pathology. While all attendees will attend the first 1.5 hours of the program, each attendee will then choose 2, 1.5 hour workshops during the morning and afternoon and attend a panel session for 1.5 hours for the last part of the program. Therefore, up to .6 ASHA CEUS may be earned.

Date and Time
The program will take place on March 7, 2025 with the breakfast, check-in and registration being held from 8:00-9:00 a.m., and the program will begin at 9:00 a.m.

In-Person and Zoom Options
Participants may choose to attend either in-person or remotely through Zoom. There is a separate registration depending upon the format you choose. Please also note that the Zoom option will have a lower rate of tuition than the in-person option because food will not be offered. Zoom links will be sent shortly before the convention date. You must attend in real-time to receive CE credit. The program will not be recorded.

ASHA CEUs
This intermediate level program will provide attendees the opportunity to achieve up to .6 ASHA CEU's in the area of speech-language pathology: (.15 for keynote address; .15 for AM concurrent sessions; .15 PM concurrent sessions, .15 for panel session).  This program meets the 2 hour requirement in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. You must attend in real-time to receive CE credit. The program will not be recorded.

If you register for the in-person option the conference check-in, breakfast, keynote, panel discussion, lunch and closing session will be held in the Larini Room of the Public Square building (second floor) at Molloy's Rockville Centre campus located at 1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre, New York 11571. Click here for directions to the campus and a campus map.

If you register for the Zoom option you will be emailed the Zoom links with further information as we get closer to the conference date.

Concurrent Sessions
Conference participants will be able to pick from three (3) topics presented during two (2), 1.5-hour concurrent sessions: from 1:15 – 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. The topics can be found above in the section, "Time-ordered Agenda". Participants will be asked to pre-register for the topics that they would like to attend. In-person seating is limited, so please make your selections early.

Refund Policy
If you withdraw from the program, a full refund is granted if notice of withdrawal is received one week prior to the program. Non-attendance in the program does not constitute a withdrawal. However, substitutions can be made until the day of the program at no charge.

Cancelations 
We generally make a decision to run or cancel a program about a week before the start date, if not sooner. If the program does not run you have the choice of registering for another program or to get a full refund. You are never penalized if a program is canceled. You will always get a full refund.

Molloy's Communication Sciences and Disorders Department continues to offer a comprehensive undergraduate program in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology and also offers an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. The M.S. program in speech-language pathology at Molloy University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Additionally, our Speech, Language and Hearing Center is located off campus in a new facility and continues to serve the community by providing an array of evaluation and treatment services.
