Voter Registration Event
Students in our Social Work Policy Class participated in a Voter Registration Day on October 22nd. Tables were set up in the Lobby of the Public Square and outside the Anselma Room to encourage people to register to vote. Voter Registration forms, absentee ballots and early voting information were given out as well as registering people on-site. 
Advocating with Purpose: Pursuit of Justice
The Social Work Department hosted an Alumni Event on October 22, 2024 in the Larini Room, Public Square.
Our Social Worker of the Year Award was presented to Julia Fetter, Class of 2019. Julia currently serves as the Director of the Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Committee for State Senator Julia Salazar. Congratulations Julia on your outstanding service to clients, the community and the profession.
Panelists then addressed the challenges of working with individuals and families within the incarcerated system.
