About the Childhood/Early Childhood Education Master’s

Our graduate childhood education degrees provide valuable expertise in applying educational theory to daily practice. You will be equipped to create and maintain learning environments that are:

If you are seeking initial licensure, you will graduate from our childhood/early childhood education programs prepared to work in many settings, including general, special, and/or bilingual classrooms with children from birth through second and/or first through sixth grades. As an entry-level credential, the initial teacher certification is valid for five years. 

We offer several tracks to help you reach your specific career goals: 

• Childhood Education (1–6)/Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2) – Dual Initial Certification – M.S. 
• Childhood Grades 1–6 – Initial Certification 
• Childhood Grades 1–6 & Teaching Students with Disabilities Grades PreK–12 – Dual Initial Certifications – M.S. 
• Childhood Grades 1 – 6 & TESOL Grades PK–12 – Dual Initial Certifications 

We understand the demands of a busy schedule, which is why many of our childhood/early childhood education classes are offered online and all of our childhood education degrees are offered in hybrid and face-to-face evening options.
