Audition Song List

During your audition for the Master of Science in Music Therapy program, you will demonstrate basic proficiency on voice, piano, and guitar. This involves performing:

  • Two songs, performed on voice and self-accompanied on guitar
  • Two songs, performed on voice and self-accompanied on piano

This is a total of four prepared songs.

Please choose your songs from the song list outlined below. These are examples of music that might be used in music therapy sessions with a variety of clients.

Music Therapy Audition Song Choices


You will demonstrate basic proficiency on voice, piano, and guitar through accompanying
yourself. Be prepared to sing and play two different songs for piano and for guitar (for a total of
4 different songs prepared). If you have a song in mind that is not in the list, please let us know ahead of time at music@molloy.edu
