Molloy University Vice President for Student Affairs Janine Biscari cultivates an inclusive and innovative campus community. Fostering student success both on campus and after graduation, Biscari oversees the university’s athletics, campus life, the University Career Center, Esports, MolloyLife Media, public safety, residence life, student health services, Student Counseling Center, and new student new orientation.
Previously, Biscari served as director of Molloy’s campus life and its dean of students. Prior to joining Molloy, she worked at Hofstra University in residential life as a resident director, and in undergraduate admissions as an assistant dean. Biscari earned a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and a master’s degree in educational administration and policy studies from Hofstra University. She obtained her Ed.D. from Dowling College. Her dissertation and research explored perceptions of military veterans who return to a college campus after active duty and their perception of campus support services as they relate to their preparedness to graduate.
A top priority for the university is ensuring every student has a sense of belonging at Molloy. Through the many student-focused services provided under Biscari’s purview the Molloy community strives to ensure students feel fully supported over the course of their academic journey.
Additionally, true to the university’s Dominican roots, Molloy continuously works to create opportunities for community service and other options for students to get involved throughout the region and the world. These opportunities include service-learning trips and alternative spring break projects.
Founded in 1955 by the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, Molloy University in Rockville Centre is an independent Catholic university. Molloy University serves a student population of approximately 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Molloy students can earn degrees in a variety of academic programs, including nursing, allied health, business, education, social work, music therapy and more.
