Molloy College Holds Commencement Ceremony on May 24th, 2022
Molloy College held its commencement ceremony on May 24 at Nassau Coliseum, marking the final class to graduate from Molloy College. Beginning on June 1, Molloy is officially known as Molloy University.
“While everyone is excited to change our name to Molloy University, we thought it was important to recognize the 2022 class as the final class to graduate from Molloy College,” said Dr. James P. Lentini, President of Molloy. “This class has faced more than two years of Covid, and they deserve special recognition as the last students to graduate from Molloy College.”
Keechant L. Sewell, New York City Police Commissioner, gave the commencement address. Commissioner Sewell is the first woman to serve as the Commissioner of the New York City Police Department. Additionally, Commissioner Sewell was part of Molloy’s 2016 Class for the Energeia Partnership, which brings together leaders from the region to explore ways to tackle some of Long Island’s biggest challenges.
