Molloy University President James Lentini joined members of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) in Washington D.C. to visit members of Congress to gather support from legislators regarding important issues that affect students and all members of the higher education community. Dr. Lentini, who is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Council on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), visited the offices of newly elected Long Island legislator Representative Laura Gillen, Rep. Andrew Garbarino, Rep. Tom Suozzi, Senator Chuck Schumer. Topics included support for student Pell Grants and advocacy for financial aid and federal student loan policies that will create sound practices to ensure student success.
