Adjunct Instructor Olga Kagan, Ph.D., R.N., CIMI, FHIMSS, from the Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Molloy University, delivered the Keynote speech at the inaugural Innovation Speaker Series at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in October 2024.
The series focused on the intersection of innovation, research, and nursing practice. “It was inspiring to connect with fellow professionals who are dedicated to advancing our field and shaping the future of nursing,” said Dr. Kagan.
“My keynote address was about innovation in nursing, including the latest trends, future roles, and models of care. I also discussed the relationship between research and innovation, and I showcased several examples.”
Dr. Kagan enjoyed engaging with nurses during the breaks and hearing about their passions for policy, research, and innovation. “Witnessing HSS leadership’s commitment to supporting nurses made me optimistic about the future of our profession and the care we provide.”
