  • Personal Laptop
    • Current Macs with M1 or M2 mobile chips will require students to purchase their own software
    • Tablets and Chromebooks do not meet requirements and will not be acceptable to use.
  • No prior knowledge or experience is required to attend the program. However, to take the PMP exam, you must have one of the following:
    • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects along with 35 hours of project management education
    • 4 year degree with 4500 hours leading and directing projects along with 35 hours of project management education

  • 7,500 hours of leading and directing projects, along with 35 hours of project management education or

These criteria are specific to the Molloy program and are designed to ensure you have the necessary experience and education to qualify for the PMP exam.

To prepare for the PMP practice exam, complete the PMP training course designed to prepare you for the exam fully. The course provides comprehensive materials and resources, including a voucher. Through the course, you'll gain the necessary knowledge and skills and practice tests to ensure you're ready to take the exam with confidence.

The PMP certification requirements include one of the following options:

  • Four-year degree: 36 months of project management experience + 35 hours of training or a CAPM certification.
  • High school diploma/associate’s degree: 60 months of project management experience + 35 hours of training or a CAPM certification.
  • Project Management Education: Regardless of the educational background, candidates must complete 35 hours of formal project management training.

Candidates must also pass the PMP exam, which consists of 180 questions on project management concepts.

The PMP certification cost remains standardized globally by PMI, but additional expenses may vary based on your location or provider. Costs for training courses, PMP practice exams, and study materials can differ, with some regions offering bundled packages or employer-sponsored programs.
