  • No prior knowledge or experience is required to attend the program. However, to take the PMP exam, you must have one of the following:
    • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects along with 35 hours of project management education
    • 4 year degree with 4500 hours leading and directing projects along with 35 hours of project management education

The PMP certification requirements include one of the following options:

  • Four-year degree: 36 months of project management experience + 35 hours of training or a CAPM certification.
  • High school diploma/associate’s degree: 60 months of project management experience + 35 hours of training or a CAPM certification.
  • Project Management Education: Regardless of the educational background, candidates must complete 35 hours of formal project management training.

Candidates must also pass the PMP exam, which consists of 180 questions on project management concepts.

Costs for training courses, PMP practice exams, and study materials can differ, with some regions offering bundled packages or employer-sponsored programs.
