Transfer Process at a Glance

Application Process

Transfer students should submit all official college transcripts from previously attended institutions. You may request a credit evaluation interview before applying. Submit your application and required transcripts as early as possible, but no later than January 1 for Spring semester admission or August 15 for Fall semester admission. Note that some programs have limited seats each semester and may have earlier deadlines or reach capacity before their stated deadlines.
Admissions Requirements

If you don't have an associate's degree or higher, submit your high school transcript as proof of graduation. Transfer students must be in good academic standing at their previous college, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for most majors. Specific programs have higher GPA requirements, such as:

Allied Health: minimum 2.5 GPA

Education: minimum 2.7 GPA

Nursing: minimum 3.0 GPA (limited enrollment)

Accelerated Nursing Programs: minimum 3.3 GPA

Social Work: minimum 2.7 GPA with an interview

Speech-Language Pathology: minimum 2.5 GPA

All Dual Degree Programs: minimum 3.0 GPA
Transfer Credit Evaluation

Molloy University awards transfer credits for courses with grades of "C" or better. Transfer students from regionally accredited two-year colleges can receive up to 64 credits, while students from regionally accredited four-year institutions can receive up to 98 credits. In some cases — but not all — students with an AA, AS, or AAS degree will have all General Education Requirements waived, except for three credits in Theology and Religious Studies and three credits in Ethics, unless these credits are transferred and accepted at the time of admission

Transfer Evaluation System (TES)

Molloy makes it easy to transfer credits from another institution. The Transfer Evaluation System (TES) can be used as a resource to view course equivalences from your college or university to Molloy University. To get started, please choose your school!

Articulation Agreements and Joint Admissions

Molloy currently offers Joint Admissions with Nassau Community College, Suffolk County Community College, and Queensborough Community College. Students in the Joint Admissions Program will automatically be considered for transfer scholarships, academic achievement grants, and Phi Theta Kappa scholarships at Molloy.
