Gain Clinical Experience
During your studies, you'll gain a wealth of clinical experience in critical care, maternity and family nursing, pediatrics, adult health, and community health. These experiences empower you to apply concepts and skills in real patient care scenarios.
Additionally, Molloy's Barbara H. Hagan Nursing Center features an advanced skills and simulation lab. This lab offers an adaptive setting where you can practice nursing techniques and hone clinical decision-making skills under the mentorship of our proficient nursing faculty and lab instructors.
Pathways Our Program Offers
Molloy University offers multiple pathways to achieve a nursing degree for high school graduates, transfer students, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs), or those holding a bachelor's degree who want to join the profession. Through one of the following programs, you can study to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The traditional four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum is for both high school graduates and transfer students. This course equips you with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practice.
After completion, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam.

Accelerated Dual Degree or Second Degree Pathway
Molloy University's accelerated and dual-degree nursing programs cater to individuals already holding a bachelor's degree in another field and wish to transition into nursing. You can transfer up to 98 credits, enabling you to focus on completing core nursing courses and any remaining requirements.
The course includes nursing’s scientific body of knowledge, supported by multidisciplinary research. It prepares generalists for leadership roles within interdisciplinary teams across diverse healthcare settings and lays a foundation for further graduate studies. After completing the program, you can take the NCLEX-RN license exam to become a registered nurse.

Fast Track Accelerated Nursing Program
If you already have a bachelor's degree and meet the necessary prerequisites, you can become a registered nurse through Molloy University. The program offers flexible timelines to accommodate your schedule, allowing you to complete studies in as little as 16 months, with options to extend to 19 or 21 months if needed.
This flexibility enables you to transition into the nursing profession efficiently while gaining the essential skills and knowledge for your role as an RN.

LPN to RN or Bachelor of Science Pathway
The LPN to BS/RN course at Molloy University offers Licensed Practical Nurses an avenue to earn a nursing degree. This course follows the traditional undergraduate curriculum requirements. However, the program recognizes the academic background and clinical experience of LPNs, providing advanced standing opportunities such as credit and work experience equivalency, where appropriate.
The Associate Dean assesses credit and work experience eligibility for each student. To apply, you must hold a current New York State LPN registration and meet the necessary LPN to BS/RN pathway standards.
