With a Cardiovascular Technology degree from Molloy University you will be prepared to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, private offices, and outpatient clinics. You will acquire a comprehensive understanding of current practice techniques and advances in the field of Cardiovascular Technology. Our faculty will impart practical and theoretical knowledge with regard to performing the diagnostic, preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative techniques necessary to evaluate and care for patients with cardiovascular disease. In addition to classroom instruction and laboratory practice, students will participate in extensive hands-on clinical experience at dedicated clinical sites. These include some of the finest healthcare institutions in the region.
As a cardiovascular technologists you will be qualified to work in:
- Hospitals
- Private offices
- Outpatient clinics
As a graduate of Molloy's CAAHEP-accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program, you will be eligible to apply for the national registry examinations in Ultrasound Physics, Echocardiography and Vascular Technology. The following credentials are awarded by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon passing the national registry exam:
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)

Program Requirements
Admission to the program is highly
competitive.- A new CVT cohort begins each year in September.
- Applicants are reviewed based upon academic history.
- Applications are evaluated for decision by the Office of Admissions on an ongoing basis.
- Transfer credits may be accepted for general education courses.
- Students are required to complete a physical examination, medical clearance, background check, drug screening, and CPR certification.
- Students are responsible for transportation to and from clinical sites.
