Meet the Team
Cathleen DiPietro, B.A.
Director of the Student Solution Center
In 2010, Cathleen began working for the International Education Department at Molloy University. Cathleen also worked for the Office of Mission and the President's Office before becoming part of the newly-formed Student Solution Center. Quick to adapt and armed with an arsenal of skills, Cathleen's diverse skill set and positive attitude made her transition to the position of Student Solution Center Counselor a seamless one. Cathleen has a vast knowledge regarding all aspects of academic life and is always available and eager to help Molloy's students.
Cathleen sees the positive impact the SSC has on students and views it as "the place where Molloy students come to find solid solutions to their difficulties, within a friendly and supportive context." Cathleen guarantees that the SSC team "can simplify the process, minimize the confusion and optimize the results."
In her free time, Cathleen enjoys being with her two daughters, reading a good book, going out with friends and the traditional Sunday dinner with family. In the summer, all of her free time is spent on the beach and in the winter you can find Cathleen watching a Ranger game.
Valerie Kutcher, M.A.
Assistant Director of the Student Solution Center
Valerie joined the SSC Team in January 2020. She started her career in higher education in 2007 at St. John's University. While there, Valerie worked in the Office of Human Resources, the Office of Academic Service-Learning and served as an adjunct instructor teaching first-year students. Valerie has a strong commitment to student success and loves working with the undeclared students at Molloy! In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her two children, dogs, and her family, and friends. She enjoys reading, attending concerts, Yankee games, and the beach.
Deborah Weber, M.S.
Student Solution Center Representative
Deborah started her career at Molloy University in 2016, bringing with her years of experience in leading the Offices of Financial Aid, Bursar and Student Affairs at several prestigious colleges and universities. Coming to us directly from New York University, she is ready for her next role - delivering world class customer service to the Molloy community.
Deborah has a wealth of inter-collegial expertise. She especially loves helping students overcome obstacles that may be in the way of achieving their goals. Deborah began her career in the Bursar's Office at NYIT, then continued her professional growth at Nassau Community College, overseeing Bursar and Billing and moved to Dowling College as a leader in the Student Affairs Office and Resident Life, continuing on to Hofstra University and finally New York University, as Associate Director of Financial Aid.
Deborah has enjoyed a grand career with years of compassion and dedication and joy as a higher education professional. She loves traveling with her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters and friends. One final thought - LET'S GO JETS!
Shannon Rocks, M.A.
Student Solution Center Counselor
Shannon joined the SSC Team as a Counselor in February 2024. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University at Albany, SUNY, graduating in 2020 with her master’s in organizational communications. Before setting sights on a career in higher education, she gained experience working in various industries such as Public Relations, Financial Planning and Mortgage Underwriting. Shannon loves working in the SSC helping students navigate college, knowing the positive impact it can have on their overall experience here at Molloy. You can find her spending her free time with her dog Koda enjoying a nice hike, walking on the beach, or watching documentaries!
Dorothy Bock
Student Solutions Center Representative
Dorothy Bock, Student Solution Center Representative, began her second career at Molloy University after spending more than 18 years in the Banking Industry. She went from the Checking Department to the Accounting Department, investing the Federal Funds for Jamaica Savings Bank. Her first role at Molloy University was in Continuing Education & Professional Studies, where she spent 20 years as the Accounts Coordinator. Dorothy was responsible for all billing and accounts receivable, as well as monthly/quarterly reconciliation reports. For the following 3 plus years, she worked in Purchasing. Dorothy was responsible for all incoming phone calls on Molloy University’s main line and assisted wherever else she was needed. Looking for more direct involvement with students, she joined the Student Solutions Center in 2023. In her current position, Dorothy is a Student Solution Center Representative, aiding and directing various students as needed -- turning tears into smiles!
An active member of the Molloy community, Dorothy has served on the Staff Advisory Committee, the Financial Resources Committee and as a staff representative on the Middle States Evaluation Committee.
Dorothy has enriched and enjoyed her diverse career with years of steadfast determination and dedication. She has done this with much enthusiasm and compassion – especially, with our Molloy University Students.
Dorothy loves sharing meals, trips and celebrations with her husband, daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren and friends!
