Molloy College Creative Teaching Day will highlight creative, innovative, and effective approaches to teaching and learning. It is our intention to inspire new ideas about classroom and online teaching and learning, and recognize the approaches used by our colleagues that have fostered student success and faculty satisfaction.

o 10:06am- 10:20am: Leveraging AI for Student Research/Writing Success (Dr. Joanna Alcruz and Dr. Mubina Schroeder)
o 10:21am – 10:35am: Preparing to Teach A New Course Quickly with AI (Dr. Alexander Chan)
▪ 10:36am – 11:00am: Roundtable: AI Policy Committee In this session, representatives from Molloy’s AI policy working group will discuss what the members have been observing and working on regarding the need for an AI policy on campus. Additionally, AI possibilities for teaching and professional growth on higher education campuses will be discussed
. ▪ 11:01am – 11:25am: Unlocking the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Rubric Development (Laurie Hallick, M.S. Ed., Instructional Designer) In this session, we will explore AI tools and techniques for crafting effective rubrics that streamline grading processes and enhance student learning outcomes. Through demonstration attendees will learn how to harness AI’s capabilities to design customized rubrics tailored to diverse academic disciplines and learning objectives.
