Empire State AcademicSHARE
We are an Empire State AcademicSHARE library. Therefore, AcademicSHARE member libraries minimally agree to allow on-site access and lend materials to any current college student, staff, and/or faculty member from another Empire State AcademicSHARE member library. However, at minimum, a verifiable valid college I.D. is required. The library may choose to treat the college I.D. as confirmation the student/faculty member is in good standing. Other proof of identification or status may be required.

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)
ILLiad is a "paperless" and fully automated Interlibrary Loan system is available to faculty members, students, administrators, and staff of Molloy University.
After a one-time process of setting up an account, users will be able to login and request books or articles and monitor the progress of those requests. For articles, patrons will be able to retrieve PDF copies of the material directly from within their ILLiad account, as well as check due dates and/or request an extension on a book. Questions? Take a look at the ILLiad Help Page.
- Items usually not available for loan include: Brand new materials, textbooks, reference materials, reserve materials, media, photographs, archival material, microfilm, primary documents, dissertations, rare books, entire issues of journals and materials from Special Collections.
- Loan Periods: Generally speaking, you'll be able to keep the book for three weeks, however, this is determined by the lending library, so please pay careful attention to the due date once you receive the materials. Electronic articles will remain in your ILLiad account for 30 days.
- Renewals: Must be requested in advance of the material's due date and is at the discretion of the lending library.
There are a few ways to find items and request them.
- Look quickly for options beyond Molloy with our super fast GETITNOW service through WorldCat search. Simply change your library from Molloy University to Quick Delivery Libraries, then select the GETITNOW option. You will be directed into ILLiad with all of the item's information prepopulated into the form. No more cutting and pasting!
- Search JETfind and click the toggle to "Expand Search beyond JET Library." This will give you the option to Request thought ILLiad and you will be directed into ILLiad with all of the item's information prepopulated into the form. Learn more about this option on our Library 101 LibGuide.
- Login to your ILLiad account and request an item by manually filling out the request form.

Research Loan Program (RLP)
The Research Loan Program (RLP) enables a library that belongs to the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC) to refer a library patron to borrow books from another LILRC member library that also participates in RLP. This service is available to faculty members, students, administrators, and staff of Molloy University. A valid Molloy ID card is required to use this service.

Reserves & Course Materials
The JET Library provides Reserves & eReserves to support faculty members' instructional requirements for specific courses. The purpose of a reserve collection is to support instruction by providing timely and efficient access to high-demand materials. Both the American Library of Association (ALA) and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) have asserted that reserve collections in libraries function as extensions of the classroom allowing them to provide access, under certain conditions, to copyright protected materials as stated in Section 107 and Section 108 of the Copyright Act and as it relates to the rights to use these materials for the purpose of teaching and research.
All reserve books and media can be accessed through the Patron Services desk on the first floor of the library.
Need help? Contact reserves via email or phone at 516-323-3914.
More information can be found on our Access & Policies page.
