Student Location Policy

For purposes of federal regulations, 34 CFR 668.43, a student enrolled in a Molloy University degree program is determined to be located in the state of New York if any of the following are true:

  1. The student is living in campus housing offered through the Office of Residence Life in their program's first term of enrollment.
  2. The student is enrolled in an on-campus program and not enrolled in any distance education courses during the initial semester of enrollment in such degree program.
  3. The student has a “Legal/Home/Permanent Address” in the student information system in the state of New York at the time of registration in the initial semester of enrollment in their program.
  4. The student’s Legal/Home/Permanent Address does not include a U.S. state or territory (students living outside of the United States).

If none of the above criteria are met, the student’s location will be determined by the state or territory listed on their “Legal/Home/Permanent Address” in the student information system at initial enrollment in their program.  Initial enrollment is defined as the point at which students have been admitted to a program or major but have not yet registered for courses in that program or major.
