About Molloy University
Molloy is a private regional comprehensive university grounded in the Catholic ideals of truth and respect for the dignity and worth of every individual. The founders, the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, believed that conferring professional degrees with a strong liberal arts core would allow students to serve in their chosen fields of work with excellence, compassion and creativity. Continuing in that tradition today, Molloy’s academic, experiential and service opportunities are responsive to the needs of the region. The University remains dedicated to providing an exceptional student experience, workforce development through community partnerships and innovative approaches to education.
A wide range of academic options include more than 50 undergraduate majors, 23 Master’s and three Doctoral degree programs. The University consists of four schools, The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences, The School of Business, The School of Arts and Sciences, and The School of Education and Human Services. Students benefit from a breadth of university-level offerings including athletics, a vibrant student life culture and NCAA Division II athletic teams. Molloy’s main campus in Rockville Centre, NY is home to residence halls, Madison Theatre at Molloy College in close proximity to Long Island’s beaches, hiking and bike trails, and quick access to Manhattan, Brooklyn and international airports. The Manhattan Center at 50 Broadway, Suffolk Center at Route 110 and Center for Environmental Research and Coastal Oceans Monitoring on the Atlantic Ocean in Sayville, NY provide learning and experiential opportunities and advantages unparalleled outside the New York Metropolitan region.
